SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This position will serve as Clinical Supervisor for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Child & Family Service. The Clinical Supervisor will report to the Lead Clinician. The Clinical Supervisor will be a full-time employee of the clinic and will spend part of her/his time providing clinical supervision and performing patient-facing clinical work.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Masters Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
- Masters in a behavioral health discipline; Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling; or Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD, PsyD)
- Current, active and in good standing Hawaii state licensure. Note, for MHC applicants the ability to be a TRICARE certified mental health counselor (TCMHC) is required.
EXPERIENCE
- Over two years, up to and including four years.

- 3 years' clinical experience in behavioral healthcare.
- Experience providing clinical supervision and oversight of clinical staff is required.
- Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required.
- Knowledge in DSM-IV/DSM-V diagnoses is required.
- Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
- Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following Evidenced Based Practices is required: Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
- Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, and family treatment is preferred.
- Experience working with a military or veteran population to include cultural competence.
- Experience treating and diagnosing depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship/family issues, and substance use disorders is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Clinical skill is required for conducting brief and targeted assessments to provide psychotherapy interventions, health and behavior change, substance use treatment, and triage for appropriate level of care.
- Demonstrated skill in supervision of subordinate staff and trainees.
