Position Summary

This position will support and coordinate all phases of loan closing and maintain an accurate closing schedule. The Loan Closer will prepare loan closing packages and communicating with all parties involved in the transaction, to ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate and in compliance with legal regulations.

Job Requirements

• Preparing and reviewing loan closing packages and paperwork
• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all required documents
• Managing and resolving any concerns, problems, and documentation issues
• Acting as an intermediary between all parties involved in mortgage loan transactions
• Ensuring closing details comply with state and federal regulations
• Coordinating mortgage closing proceedings
• Maintaining accurate closing schedules

• Working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations
• Proficient with standard software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Maintain proper and professional etiquette and appearance.
• Strong attention to details, high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Self-discipline, an aptitude for making good decisions and works efficiently under deadlines
• Must be able to handle the pressure of a fast-paced office high work volume
• The ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of escrow, from opening to closing, is required

Education Requirements

• Some college preferred but not necessary
• 2 years of experience in mortgage closing
