Job Summary

Responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) while providing support to the production team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Communicates with team when parts are out of program
• Assist with machining by studying work orders, blueprints and plans
• Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions and points
• Loads parts for subsequent automatic machining
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
• Performs routine inspections of completed pieces
• Maintains continuity among work shifts/supervisors
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Verbal communication
• Attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Standing – frequent to continuous
• Walking – occasional to frequent
• Bending/stooping – occasional
• Squatting/kneeling – occasional
• Gripping/manipulation – frequent
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to waist

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a moderate noise level environment. This role uses standard heavy equipment and tools.
