CNC Operator

A growing High-tech business looking for a qualified, motivated individual to join our team as a CNC Operator

Requirements:

• Ability to use measuring tools to ensure quality
• Ability to interpret blueprints
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be proficient in shop mathematics in order to calculate tool offsets, home positions and verify print dimensions. Has a basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry.
• A minimum of 5years overall experience in a manufacturing environment
• Organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Adhere to all safety & good housekeeping practices
• Ability to come to work as scheduled & work extra hours as needed in order to meet customer requirements
• Ability to follow instructions and follow through consistently
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to work as a team to achieve company objectives

Responsibilities & Authorities:

• Programming, and set-up of CNC router
• Monitor the CNC , assuring all SOP's are followed to perform duties correctly & safely

Essential Job Functions:

• Load & unload parts into fixture mounted on CNC equipment
• Start, run & monitor automated machine
• Read blueprints
• Utilize measuring tools to check dimensions
• In-process inspection of work being performed
• Basic paperwork for time and job reporting
