Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) assists captain of the aircraft (non-jet smaller than 12,500 pounds at takeoff) with flight duties. Supports captain in calculating flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to ensure aircraft meets scheduling requirements. Being a Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) keeps navigation manuals and charts up-to-date. Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Additionally, Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) must be capable of taking full control of aircraft while in flight. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires FAA pilot certificate with necessary type ratings. Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the water jet operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
Communicates with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Communicates all production related items to next shift water jet operator or shift supervisors.
Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
May perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED.
Water Jet or plasma cutter experience a plus but willing to train the right candidate!
Ability to drive a forklift.
