Job Summary

Landpoint is seeking a Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) Pilot to provide unmanned aerial support service to a variety of clients in various industries.  This position will require extensive travel to various locations throughout the country.  Knowledge about data processing systems, sensors, and data deliverables is a plus. Candidate must be willing to occasionally work on a weekend schedule. Candidate must be a self-starter that is constantly looking for ways to improve all processes and can work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision.

Daily Duties

• Develop SUAS flight plans in accordance with FAA regulations
• Assist in data processing of imagery collected during SUAS flights
• Coordinates and conducts SUAS flight operations, testing, and training
• Provide crew leadership for any anomalies or emergency situations
• Interact with Google Earth and various mapping programs
• Understand and interact with FAA National Airspace guidelines
• Schedule and coordinate service calls when required
• Assist Aerial Department with any other duties as directed

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma required, Bachelor degree preferred
• Advanced customer service skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe products: Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro, and Word
• Geographical knowledge of service area and map reading skills
• Able to pass background check and drug test
• Meet FAA requirements to obtain a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• Knowledgeable of FAA rules and regulations regarding UAS flight operations
• Knowledge of FAA Airspace regulations
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of UAS industry
• Knowledge of FAA national airspace framework
• Familiarity with commercial aviation
• Proficiency with Google Earth or other situational awareness tools
• Bachelor’s in aviation, GIS, Geography, Engineering, Information Technology and/or related field
• FAA Remote Pilot Certificate with SUAS Rating
• FAA Certificate of Private Pilot or higher
• Working knowledge of DJI platforms
• Working knowledge of consumer and industrial SUAS platforms
