Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Operator utilizes a sprayer to apply paint to a variety of products. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Operator relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Duties:
- Operate hydrovac equipment to excavate and expose underground utilities and pipelines
- Safely operate and maintain hydrovac trucks and equipment
- Perform hydrovac excavation activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist with the set-up and tear-down of job sites
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating the hydrovac equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Skills:
- Experience operating tanker, loader, water truck, backhoe, dump truck, grader, and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and processes
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utility maps
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
