Prepares detailed reports including descriptions of properties, relevant market conditions, and estimates of property values. Being a Collateral Appraiser ensures that reports comply with bank policy and applicable regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Collateral Appraiser gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
