Collateral Appraiser conducts simple to moderately complex appraisals and property ratings to establish market values that guide investments in real estate equity and loans. Prepares detailed reports including descriptions of properties, relevant market conditions, and estimates of property values. Being a Collateral Appraiser ensures that reports comply with bank policy and applicable regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Collateral Appraiser gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
