    Employment Type: Full-time

    The Training Specialist is responsible for all aspects of recruitment, orientation, and training, from writing and producing training manuals and aids, to scheduling classes and securing training space while following all applicable laws. The trainer ensures training programs are current, relevant and engage recipients utilizing various forms of media including, but not limited to, instructional videos, PowerPoint presentations, and web-based training. The position’s responsibilities also include performing data entry and general tasks, providing customer service and assisting with the overall voting/election process.

    Responsibilities

    • Recruitment
    • Develop a curriculum for effective training
    • Conduct detailed training classes and off-season programs
    • Create and maintain up to date training materials
    • Assign all positions including replacements as needed
    • Communicate with trainees via email, text, and telephone, as needed
    • Perform data entry
    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Accurately enter and verify all information pertaining to Election Workers

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Associate’s degree with coursework emphasis in Project Management, Business Management, Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
    • Experience in teaching, training material and development, human resources, or large-scale volunteer scheduling.
    • Extensive public speaking experience and organizational skills required.
    • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.
    • Must have a valid driver license.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in English.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be physically able to operate a variety of voting machines and office equipment.
    • Must be able to lift 30 pounds, and be able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

    Hours

    • 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
    • Election day and the weeks prior require additional hours and some weekends

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $20.00 per hour
