Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical collections and terminology, ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes. We are a family owned and operated business in Tacoma WA. We offer 30 hours of PTO after 6 months of employment, and an additional 30 hours at 1 year. Insurance stipend after 90 hours of employment of $300 per month.

Duties:
- Review and analyze patient accounts for accuracy and completeness
- Contact patients and insurance companies to resolve outstanding balances
- Utilize medical coding knowledge (ICD-10, ICD-9) to ensure proper billing
- Process medical claims and follow up on unpaid accounts
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing and regulations
- Collaborate with medical office staff to address billing inquiries

Requirements:
- Proven experience in medical collections within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance providers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
