Job Description:Reporting directly to the CEO, The Vice President of Engineering (VPE) is a critical member of the executive team in this high paced, results oriented business. The mission of the organization is to "Reduce the cost of Healthcare and Improve Community Health." Eneration will achieve this mission by providing healthcare systems the expertise, partnership, tools, and drive creative solutions to reducing energy demand in the U.S by over 75 trillion BTUs. The VPE is accountable for leading and developing a high performing team that provides exemplary support to health systems in their sustainable energy journey. The VPE will also be responsible for keeping Eneration up to date on the latest sustainable energy technologies, strategies, and trends. Ultimate success will be derived from developing long term clients through innovative technical support, creative problem solving, and relationships built on radical trust.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee team responsible for the success of clients achieving their sustainable energy goals
Keep up to date on new sustainable energy technologies and strategies and assess the success of implementation in health care facilities
Represent the organization at national committees and organizations
Present on behalf of the organization to gain support from industry to move forward with sustainable energy initiatives
Continually reflect on successes and opportunities to improve delivery of products for client success
Works collaboratively to develop new products and improve existing products that ensure outstanding client service
Represents the firm with clients, vendors, investors, and business partners
Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO and executive team
Provides information and support as needed to secure sales
Develops strategic partnerships with national organizations
Performs other duties as required and assigned by CEO
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, hires high performing staff for technical and client support areas of responsibility
Coaches staff to develop a team inspired to fulfill the mission and vision
Performs constructive and timely performance evaluations
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Required Skills/Abilities:
Intimate understanding of business operations including product solutions, financials, and legal
Intimate understanding of processes hospitals and healthcare systems use for making decisions and approving new projects, both capital and operational

Experience:
REQUIRED
5 years of experience working with hospital HVAC, electrical, or energy management systems

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
