Commercial Credit Analyst jobs in Idaho Falls, ID

Commercial Credit Analyst collects, reviews, and analyzes data to prepare a detailed credit analysis that evaluates the terms and creditworthiness of commercial loan applications. Uses multiple sources of information, including financial statements, collateral appraisals, credit scores, and cash flow analysis, to assign risk ratings to loans and complete an analysis of the applicant's financial status. Being a Commercial Credit Analyst calculates debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to evaluate an applicant's ability to repay the loan. Prepares credit memos in a standardized format that includes key ratios, supporting information, an executive summary, and objective recommendations. Additionally, Commercial Credit Analyst presents credit reports to loan officers and loan committees. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Credit Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Summary: Assist and support lenders in acquiring and compiling needed information for credit analysis and credit approval packages. Input financial information into excel spreadsheet and loan management system software.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs analysis of financial statements, cashflows, and pricing analysis
    • Understand and evaluate key components of the financial analysis process including the “5 C’s of Credit” (character, capacity, capital, collateral, and conditions)
    • Learn and understand bank policies in relation to credit requests
    • Prepares presentation materials for new and additional credit proposals
    • Perform other duties within the branch, special projects and research as needed.
    • Proficiency with Excel and Word

    Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
