Commercial Credit Analyst collects, reviews, and analyzes data to prepare a detailed credit analysis that evaluates the terms and creditworthiness of commercial loan applications. Uses multiple sources of information, including financial statements, collateral appraisals, credit scores, and cash flow analysis, to assign risk ratings to loans and complete an analysis of the applicant's financial status. Being a Commercial Credit Analyst calculates debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to evaluate an applicant's ability to repay the loan. Prepares credit memos in a standardized format that includes key ratios, supporting information, an executive summary, and objective recommendations. Additionally, Commercial Credit Analyst presents credit reports to loan officers and loan committees. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Credit Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Who you are – Commercial Compliance Analyst

    What you'll do

    • Responsible for the analysis of all applicable new or amended laws and regulations by researching the changes and applying them to current commercial lending/ business banking operations, policies, products and services to help determine the course of action by the credit union.
    • Analyze all commercial lending / business banking advertising pieces, campaigns, blogs, promotions, member letters, forms and disclosures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze commercial lending / business banking related complaint activity by performing industry trend analysis and comparing to the credit union complaints to identify areas of risk, assessing escalated complaints and determining correct course for resolution, ensuring that regulatory complaints are closed within required time frames, and assisting with the creation of the quarterly draft reports for the Supervisory and Risk Management Committees.
    • Support the evaluation, design, and maintenance of the compliance training program by participating in the facilitation of the annual training needs analysis, reviewing and recommending course work, evaluating failed attempts and overdue training to identify training needs and providing monthly reporting.
    • Coordinate and assist, as necessary, all internal and external audits, and regulatory examinations for the business banking and commercial lending lines of business.
    • Stay current on industry developments, including attending compliance training.
    • Represent the Compliance Team, as needed, by actively participating in Institutional Projects and communicating follow up items, compliance considerations, and areas of concern back to the team.
    • Perform other tasks or functions as required, requested, necessary or prudent from time to time.

    Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

    • 5-10 years of experience in banking compliance or in a commercial lending operations role within a financial institution, and encompassing a broad knowledge of products and services, is required.
    • Professional certification in a risk management discipline preferred (NCCO, CUCE, CRCM).
    • Bachelor’s degree.
