Commercial Lines Account Managers are responsible for assisting insurance producers and other account managers in the day-to-day handling of commercial lines accounts to maintain client relationships with a strong emphasis on service and account retention.
Responsibilities

Accounting: Billing Inquiries, invoicing, premium breakdowns, etc.

Claims: report, file, and follow up until closed

Renewals: review file, renewal letters to clients, market account if needed, renewal summaries for producers as requested

Assist clients with questions and concerns

Issue certificates/binders

Issue bonds

Generate new business from coverage additions on renewal business and current business referrals

Communicate with clients via email, telephone, fax, mail

Work with producers and underwriters on client coverages and pricing

Procure endorsements per client request through email or company systems as specified

Participate in weekly department meetings

Administrative projects and spreadsheets as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
1-3 years of experience working with an independent agency or brokerage
License/Certification
Active Property and Casualty License in MS or the ability to be licensed quickly
Skills

Data Entry and online quoting experience

Experience using an agency management system. Experience with Vertafore’s AMS 360 is preferred but not required

Basic Windows environment skills

Microsoft Office suite experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Strong knowledge of commercial insurance terminology, coverages, policies, and procedures

1 – 3 years experience in a similar position

Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance-related discipline or commensurate experience

HS diploma or GED at minimum

Exceptional telephone demeanor

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Schedule
8 hours Monday – Friday
Pay
Salary $45,000-$60,000 DOE and licensing with bonus pay available
