Commercial Lines Account Manager jobs in Oregon

Nasburg Huggins Insurance Agency in partnership with the Leavitt Group is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team.

The professional hired will be primarily responsible for assisting in managing an existing book of commercial accounts.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate a solid work ethic, have strong interpersonal communication skills, strong attention to detail and excellent organizational time management skills.

Type:  Full Time (40 ), Hourly

Principle Purpose:  To provide a positive, professional, and energetic representation of Nasburg Huggins Insurance Agency to our clients and prospective clients; and to facilitate an efficient distribution of correspondence and confidential information to support the successful execution of the insurance coverage process.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, carriers, and co-workers.
• Work with a Producer and others to coordinate new business, renewal strategy, and company selection.
• Prepare Insurance Proposals, Summaries, and related documents.
• Order and issue binders, policies, endorsements, certificates, invoices, and other related items and forward to client with appropriate correspondence.
• Accompany producer as needed to client meetings.
• Manage daily inbound/outbound correspondence:  mail, email, faxes, phone calls, and voicemails.
• Maintain current knowledge of insurance coverages and exposures, as well as the insurance products and markets available to cover exposures.
• Energetically focus efforts on meeting goals and objectives. 
• Attend Team Meetings virtually and in person when needed.
• Attend Continuing Education courses.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as required.

Requirements:

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug test and a criminal background check
• Proven history of time management skills and dedication to your work. 
• Must have or acquire a current Oregon Property/Casualty Insurance License within 90 days of hiring. Agency will pay for and assist in this training

Preferred Job Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Must be able to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously with clients, visitors, employees, underwriters, and other community members.
• Takes initiative and displays sense of urgency.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Must have ability to work independently in a multi-tasking customer service setting.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to proofread the work of self or others with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must be able to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once, and to work positively and effectively within a team or self-directed model.
• Knowledge of Agency software--AMS 360 preferred
