General Description of Position
This is a full time, exempt position, with general hours of Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. May be required to work hours outside of the general schedule as necessary to complete and present audit reports. Performs a senior level of professional work within an assigned area of responsibility that relates to conducting full scope governmental audits within Citrus County. Full scope audits include conducting risk assessments, developing audit plans, conducting fieldwork, reporting findings, preparing work papers and final reports, and conducting follow up audits. The senior internal auditor may be designated as the Auditor in Charge and is responsible for training, guiding, overseeing, and evaluating the day-to-day work product of assigned projects. This class reports directly to the Chief Deputy of the department and follows the Clerk's standard operating procedures and policies.
