COMMERCIAL ESTIMATER - Carolinas

Analyze bid drawings and specifications, Send bid invitations, communicating with subcontractors/ suppliers, evaluating proposals, using bid tally sheets, etc. Create and complete detailed scope checklists, Maintain and develop relationship with suppliers and subcontractors, Assist Project Managers in the preparation of estimates, Provide assistance and documentation to Project Managers, Purchasing Staff, or other departments as needed. Other responsibilities as required. Fluent with bid solicitation software such as SAGE Estimating, PROCORE, etc. Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills Local base of relationships for subcontractors, suppliers and vendors Creative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis Proven ability for participation in team environment, with both external and internal groups Proficient computer skills Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. A strong work ethic and a ''can-do'' attitude.

Responsibilities include:

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination
• Procurement of construction materials
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Survey and project layout
• Weekly pictures for progress reports
• Manage construction equipment
• Safety management
• Project estimating

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Construction Management or Purchasing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent a plus.
• Experience with construction software – Specifically ProCore.
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to prioritize and manage time
• Strong follow up
• Ability to establish relationships
• Self-motivated
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
