Commercial Loan Officer solicits and services a variety of smaller commercial loans. Performs a due diligence review of potential borrowers, including a risk and financial analysis. Being a Commercial Loan Officer approves loans within established limits or presents to loan committee for approval. Monitors and maintains existing commercial loan portfolio. Additionally, Commercial Loan Officer adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal risk and operating policies and procedures. May assist senior loan officers with larger or more complex loans. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Commercial Loan Officer work is closely managed. o Interviewing customers seeking loans;
o Collecting and analyzing financial and related data to determine general creditworthiness;
o Rejecting or approving loans and terms within officers’ limits and established Bank policies;
o Monitoring loan repayment activities and taking necessary action to collect from past-due accounts; and
o Handling consumer/installment loans as needed.
Proficiencies
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience.
• Four (4) to five (5) years of lending experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be bondable.
