    Description

    General Summary

    Responsible for preparing loan documentation for Consumer, Commercial, and Real Estate loans whether secured or unsecured. Ensure that documents are complete, accurate and in place to provide the bank with a perfected security interest on collateral taken to secure the loan. Verify appropriate approval and ensure compliance with bank approved policies.

    Principal Responsibilities and Duties

    • Responsible for staying up to date on and complying with all applicable banking laws and regulations as well as CNB policies and procedures.
    • Determine and prepare appropriate loan documents after receiving instructions from the loan officer.
    • Review file for needed information and compliance documentations.
    • Prepare checklist noting any omissions or exceptions.
    • Deliver original note and other necessary documents for booking to appropriate personnel.
    • Review returned file for any exceptions to the checklist.
    • Send complete organized files to compliance review.
    • File UCC-1s with proper departments of state and governmental agencies and place holds on accounts taken as collateral.
    • Assist customers with inquiries pertaining to loans in process and direct them to the appropriate loan officer or department.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
    • Work cooperatively with others.
    • Work overtime as needed.
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

    Skills and Abilities Required

    • Demonstrate analytical, decision-making, and effective problem resolution.
    • Intermediate accounting skills with mathematical aptitude and computer spreadsheet skills.
    • Highly organized, with an attention to detail and an aptitude for problem recognition and resolution.
    • Possess an aptitude for coordinating and prioritizing multi-tasked responsibilities.
    • Illustrate a working knowledge of computer software and systems: Microsoft Office, Calyx (Point)/ Mortgagebot, and Microsoft Explorer.
    • Possess autonomy and initiative to reference online websites, such as All-Regs, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and FHA/VA to meet governmental regulations and lending criteria.
    • The ability to multi-task and the capability of working on numerous different files simultaneously.
    • Excellent time management skills and the capacity to meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of loan policy and compliance requirements.

    Certification/Education and Experience

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Six to twelve months of increasingly responsible job-related experience.

    Working Conditions

    • Requires a flexible daily schedule: periods of heavy activity intermittent with measured lulls.
    • Potentially stressful situations with regards to third party interaction and deadlines.
    • Regular attendance is necessary.

    Physical Requirements

    • Move and carry office supplies, files and equipment weighing 10 pounds.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time to process work.
