The Commercial Loan Processor calculates and processes payoffs, and releases titles and insurance interest. Processes loan payments and applies funds to customer accounts. Being a Commercial Loan Processor responds to customer inquiries and requests for net payoff quotes. Calculates and prepares refunds for customers that submit overpayments. In addition, Commercial Loan Processor may require an associate's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Commercial Loan Processor gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Position Purpose
The primary responsibility of the position is to provide support to staff by processing approved applications, completing all necessary forms registering the credit union’s lien on property used as collateral, and to act on applications within the limits established by CFCU policies.
Duties
1. Calling other state DMV’s, gathering necessary title perfection paperwork.
2. Collect POAs and other supporting lending documents.
3. Managing any ancillary lending product support procedures i.e., Warranty, GAP, Debt Can.
4. Taking refund payments and making sure those are applied to principal, while sending modifications to reduce monthly payment/getting form to member etc.
5. Making sure ACH forms are submitted to accounting in a timely manner and updating the necessary departments.
6. Handling loan closing perfection. i.e., gathering closing documents, lien perfection documents, etc.
7. Making sure we have updated insurance binders from Members in a timely manner while also assisting with CPI management.
8. Handling Popio lending calls, to assist in maintaining member satisfaction with Carter’s lending process.
9. Directing initial applications and pre-approvals.
10. Assist in vehicle searches for members while also providing Carfax research to determine values and assist with pricing negotiation with dealers.
11. Manage the process of eLending declines and providing members with the proper adverse action forms.
12. Adheres to prescribed security controls to protect the staff and facility against criminal activity and fraudulent operations.
13. Acquires and retains knowledge in applicable credit union regulatory requirements.
14. Performs additional responsibilities as required or directed.
15. Responsible for adhering to compliance laws, regulations, and established Carter CU policies and procedures, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering.
