JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a growing Treehouse construction company looking to bring on a Finance Operations Manager to expand with us. We are expanding into the hospitality market with our glamping treehouse product the Treewalkers Tent and there will be much opportunity for growth within our administration team. Most of our work is prefabricated in our Petaluma based warehouse. In shop we build wall panels and components for sculptural treehouses that often have odd angles and building methodologies. We install custom structures around the Bay Area and occasionally out of state.

Finance Operations Manager Role Responsibilities & Expectations

Familiarity with finance and accounting at a small and growing company is a core component of this role, but the ideal applicant does not have to be someone with extensive experience working as a bookkeeper or accountant. Instead, you should be someone who feels comfortable "handling the numbers" and also prizes the ability to have impact across a variety of business functions. You should understand the fundamentals of finance/accounting at a small business and how to make the finance function add lift, not drag, to a business.

Responsible for:

• Operations (30%) - Help make O2T a more effective and efficient team by building and running an exceptional "back office"
• Maintain positive relationship with O2T's vendors (research and select vendors, negotiate commercial terms, track spend, evaluate vendor performance, etc)
• Finance (40%) - drive execution of all internal finance functions at O2T and serve as the primary interface between us and our 3rd-party service providers/vendors
• AP/AR tracking and management
• Transaction Categorization
• Staff time tracking & Payroll management
• Run Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual close process
• Tax and business license compliance
• Support internal Financial Planning & Analysis activities and processes
• Financial and investor reporting
• Leadership Support (15%)
• Support company and department level leaders by providing accurate and timely data to inform business decisions
• Orchestrate periodic budgeting exercises, spend reviews, etc
• Special Projects (15%)
• Ad-hoc and emerging cross-functional projects in support of company objectives

You should enjoy rolling up your sleeves and doing the work to help move your team forward, and working cross-functionally on key business priorities
