    The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be responsible for driving the overall commercial strategy of the company to increase market share, enhance profitability, and ensure operational excellence across all commercial departments. Reporting to the CEO, the CCO will oversee Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Product Development, and will play a critical role in achieving the company’s growth objectives in both Foodservice and Retail channels.


    Responsibilities


    Commercial Strategy & Leadership

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aimed at maximizing revenue and market share in both Foodservice and Retail segments.
    • Provide leadership and direction for the Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Product Development teams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to define long-term growth plans and key performance metrics.

    Sales Management

    • Lead and manage the national sales team to drive business growth across Foodservice and Retail channels.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
    • Set and monitor sales targets, performance metrics, and incentive programs.

    Marketing Strategy & Brand Management

    • Oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
    • Identify market opportunities and lead product innovation initiatives that align with customer preferences and market demands.
    • Manage advertising, promotions, and digital marketing efforts to support sales growth.

    Product Development & Innovation

    • Lead the product development process by identifying market needs, customer trends, and opportunities for innovation within the seafood industry.
    • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and suppliers to develop new products for both Foodservice and Retail markets.
    • Ensure new product launches align with company objectives for quality, sustainability, and profitability.
    • Evaluate product performance post-launch, adjusting strategies based on customer feedback and sales data.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors’ products, and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

    Customer Service Excellence

    • Ensure the delivery of best-in-class customer service that exceeds client expectations.
    • Implement customer feedback loops to continuously improve service and maintain customer satisfaction.
    • Optimize processes for order management, communication, and issue resolution.

    Logistics & Supply Chain Oversight

    • Oversee logistics and supply chain operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of products from source to customers.
    • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and partners to streamline logistics, optimize inventory management, and minimize disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations, as well as sustainability initiatives.

    Financial & Operational Performance

    • Partner with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance analysis.
    • Drive profitability through pricing strategies, cost management, and margin optimization.
    • Continuously monitor and assess market conditions, adjusting strategies to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.

    Team Development

    • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and growth-oriented commercial team.
    • Provide mentorship, development opportunities, and clear career pathways for team members.


    Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
    • 10 years of experience in a senior commercial, sales, or product development leadership role, ideally within the food industry, with seafood experience a strong plus.
    • Proven track record of driving sales growth and product innovation in both Foodservice and Retail channels.
    • Experience managing cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Product Development.
    • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
