Mission:
Quantum is currently seeking a Software Engineer to provide the US Space Force (USSF) Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) support related to its mission to plan, task, integrate, provide Command and Control (C2), and support integrated Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). C2 is conducted day-to-day, through reachback capabilities and deployable subject matter experts, in support of US Combatant Commanders (CCDRs). Assistance is provided via the JNWC NAVWAR support cell, coordination cells, and deployable theater coordination cells.
Responsibilities:
- Supports analysis of output power requirements, specific antenna to be used and the location/orientation of the antenna.
- Operates GPS jammers and other equipment during field assessments or exercises; ensures the equipment is operated properly.
- Supports analysis of proposed radiofrequency propagation plans of other activities.
- Conducts modeling and simulation using GIANT, STK, Builder and other software.
- Builds antenna files for computer modeling.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in STEM or equivalent.
- Relevant educational or work experience in military operations.
- 2 years database experience; operational test and evaluation experience helpful.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
Desired Qualification:
- 4 years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advance networking, techniques, and protocols, data bases (flat file, relational, and object-oriented), high-order programming languages, and operating systems (e.g., UNIX/ULTRIX, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX/VMS, Harris VOS). Also, must have 2 years’ experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems and programming in high order languages. A master’s degree in STEM may be substituted for 3 years of relevant work experience. (Secret)
