Commercial Tire Service Manager manages the service staff to effectively meet customer requirements and minimize service related expenses. Assigns jobs within the service center and dispatches road and fleet service according to customer requests or established requirements. Being a Commercial Tire Service Manager makes recommendations for hiring, firing and disciplining of service techs. Trains service technicians and conducts new hire orientation; schedules other training as required. Additionally, Commercial Tire Service Manager ensures that company policies are being followed with regard to safety, DOT and established operating procedures. General Description:
Repair and replace commercial and large equipment tires, perform fleet checks, and perform minor service and repairs on commercial customer vehicles.
Duties Include:
· Remove, install, rotate, balance and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires in shop.
· Mount/dismount, install new or used tires.
· Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality and overall health of the tire.
· Check air pressure, repair punctures and replace faulty valves.
· Operate balancer and complete wheel alignments.
· Complete tire rotations; reset TPMS when needed.
· Complete work orders and related paperwork.
· Load/unload tires from delivery trucks.
· Maintain, set up tire racks, organize, and clean shop and equipment.
· Assist customers and other co-workers as needed.
· Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
