Commercial Tire Technician performs tire and tire related services at commercial service centers according to company requirements. Mounts, demounts and balances commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by a service manager or a more senior technician. Being a Commercial Tire Technician follows established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service, noting additional needs and notifying the service manager or supervising technician. May be responsible for replenishing inventory and maintaining shop supply levels. Additionally, Commercial Tire Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Tire Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Commercial Tire Technician is responsible for performing non-technical automotive service repairs which includes: oil changes, vehicle inspections and all tire/wheel related services. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Professionally performs non-technical automotive service repairs. Professionally performs all tire and wheel related services following Motorist Assurance Program guidelines. Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above Company standards. Documents services performed. Follows Company and manufacturer service guidelines. Follows safety rules and regulations. Regularly attends formal training to remain proficient in changing automotive technology. Maintains clean and organized service department. Maintains clean and organized warehouse, showroom and building exterior. Performs other tasks, based on the requirements and instructions of the Service Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent - experience preferred, but we will train motivated candidates. Physical Requirements: Good physical health including ability to frequently lift 60 pounds. Frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting, pushing, standing, stooping and walking. Occasional climbing, crawling, crouching and reaching. Working Conditions: Required to work at varying temperature and humidity. Frequently subjected to vibrations, mechanical and electrical hazards. Atmospheric conditions occasionally include fumes and dust. The noise level may be high.
Licenses: Must possess valid driver’s license.
