• Minimum 3-4 years experience of underwriting experience at a large bank/financial institution
• Investment banking or corporate banking training or solid credit fundamentals in a commercial environment. Formal credit training a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different levels of the organization
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred
• 
  Fintech/ Start-up Experience - A major plus

The successful candidate is an innovator and will be responsible for leveraging financials to underwrite commercial loans in unconventional ways. You will be a key contributor in underwriting, due diligence, closing, and portfolio management. This position requires technical skill, sound judgment, attention to detail and expertise to analyze financial data to assess credit risk and to create appropriate loan structures.

• Think creatively about financing solutions
• Independently participate in client and prospect due diligence meetings by phone, virtually or in person.
• Create credit memos, analysis and be able to defend your thinking
• Assist in development of term sheets
• Advise sales teams on financing, pricing and loan structures
• Monitor loans and refresh analysis as required recommend data investments to elevate decision making
• Work with our technology and product team to enhance the underwriting process
