Lead Administrative Support Assistant

The Missouri Department of Agriculture's, Device & Commodity Inspection Program inspects large and small scales, grain hopper scales, taxicab meters, milk for quantity determination, prepackaged merchandise and method of sale of commodities. The program enforces the Missouri Egg Law and the Missouri Unfair Milk Sales Practices Act.

We are looking for a dependable, energetic candidate to fill a Lead Administrative Support Assistant position we have available. Salary: $37,240.56 annually

Location: Jefferson City, MO (applicant must live in or near Jefferson City or be willing to relocate)

Work Hours: 8am - 5pm (Monday - Friday)

Some of The Things You'll Do:

• Answer phones and assist field staff with computer issues.
• Data entry of payments, egg licenses, milk licenses, scale inspections, placing in services, etc.
• Run program reports as needed.
• Collect field staff's weekly and monthly inspection reports.
• Ability to communicate professionally and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three (3) or more years of experience as an Administrative Support Assistant AND possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

OR

Two (2) or more years of full-time training from an accredited vocational or business school in office management, secretarial science, or a closely related field AND one (1) or more years of office-related clerical experience and possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
