Commodity Forwarders is looking for a full time Air Freight Customer Service Lead to fill a position within our Operations department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate between $25 – $27.50/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Seattle branch.

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Your Role:

• Manage customer interaction and documentation to ensure successful movement of cargo.
• Quote, book and track domestic and international cargo shipments.
• Ability to supervise others, assign and delegate tasks to maximize department efficiency and employee productivity.
• Assist the sales efforts to resolve issues, identify opportunities and achieve goals for customer retention
• Strong grasp of geography to determine best freight forwarding routes
• Self-Starter, organized, good time management and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 – 2 year’s experience in logistics. Air freight domestic and export a plus
• Working environment is fast paced and a successful candidate must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize time sensitive situations
• 40 – 50 hrs. per week and 5 – 6 days per week depending on season including some weekend and holiday coverage.
