Listed Futures Commodity Broker
  • Imperium Commodity Search
  • New York, NY FULL_TIME
  • Job Title: Director of Listed Futures Clearing and Execution Sales/Broker – Institutional Clients

Location: USA (Multiple Locations including New York, Chicago, Miami, West Coast)

Compensation: 150-250,000USD Revenue Split (we know compensation can vary between individuals/teams depending on the size of the book of business. If your comp sits outside of this range, but you are interested in the opportunity, we would still be keen to chat)

Red Tape, Slow Onboarding, Inflated Desk Costs, Capital Charges, Zero Cross-sell Incentive.

Sound familiar? If any, or all, of the above are features of your current role, read on.

Our client has zero capital charges, incredibly fair and modest desk costs (with much of the typical costs that end up being attributed to brokers absorbed at group level), in perpetuity cross-sell commissions, rapid onboarding, an extensive front office support team and a genuinely good, hard working, down to earth team. This is brokerage as it should be.

Competing for institutional, listed futures business at a level that rivals some banks, our client can accomodate a wide range of accounts across funds, CTAs, prop shops, PTGs and more throughout the institutional client chain. The firm has an impressive organic growth record with a low attrition rate, longstanding staff and a genuine passion (and certainly the team/ability/drive) to be the number 1 choice for institutional investors/speculators for both clearing and execution services.

If you are currently managing a listed futures book in either clearing or execution, on behalf of an institutional client base, and want to explore a world less political, faster moving and reward driven, we would love to have a chat. Imperium Commodity Search is retained to grow the front office from an already exceptional starting point, capitalizing on excellent organic investment to expand the coverage yet further.

We can explore multiple office locations for the right brokers, and are always pleased to discuss team moves with high performing groups. New York, Chicago etc. all great. Florida, we are told, would be awesome; probably as it gives an added incentive for the C-Suite to travel down more often...

    Benefits:

    • Work with a leading global brokerage with a growing international presence across a variety of listed futures markets
    • In perpetuity cross-sell commissions (with a staggering amount paid out to date)
    • Long standing staff and management, an environment that encourages longevity, growth and reward
    • A globally diverse business with a history of investment in new product lines
    • Market leading management team, working with some of the top names in the listed futures clearing and execution space
    • First class exchange access and the ability to cross-sell products with a true reward for doing so
    • No capital charges
    • Rapid account opening
    • Client services support/onboarding and compliance support
    • Hyper-investment in the Listed Futures Clearing and Execution teams in recent years

    • Work with other desks to up-sell and cross-sell the firms offering across risk management, advisory, execution and clearing services (our client has an incredible volume of service offerings today)
    • Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients, showcasing the market leading listed futures clearing and execution services that the firm offers
    • Work with senior management on project work, new client on-boards and target markets
    • Meet with clients and build relationships across listed futures clearing and/or execution business
    • Manage financial clients (institutional) across listed futures & options execution across your niche commodity/asset class exposure

We would love to speak wtih you if you have:

    • Demonstrable expertise in futures/options execution/clearing (listed futures) across institutional clients (funds, CTAs, asset managers, wealth management, PTGs, CTOs, ETFs etc.)
    • A personal transferable book of business in institutional listed futures/options execution or clearing (circa 750k USD )
    • Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and senior management within funds, prop shops and similar
    • Strong relationships in the industry
    • Superb understanding of financial markets, futures, options and exchange-based trading/broking

    Clearing Business:

If you personally manage a book of clearing business and are looking for a change, or interested in a firm that can offer more services, less bull, and more incentive to sell, we are keen to have a confidential discussion about your position. We will never make an introduction without consent and all conversations are confidential.

    Execution Business:

If you have a book of execution business in the institutional space, and work in a small team that is open to a new opportunity to draw on more services/revenue lines, then we are equally keen to have a confidential discussion about this opportunity and whether it may fit/offer a mutual benefit for your business. We understand the sensitivity required around team moves and all communication is confidential.

If you like the sound of less red tape, faster onboarding, more ways to earn commission and less desk cost, we would love to hear from you. Don't worry if you don't have a CV or resume put together; we don't need one.

You can reach out to Mark Taylor by phone, LinkedIn, smoke signals, carrier pigeon or any other such medieval communication method to discuss further. Applying via the button below is the best.
