The buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing c-class hardware to fulfill customer orders. This role will work closely with account managers to understand their needs, identify qualified suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of product.
Key Responsibilities:- Review all material quotes to ensure that the price, price range, and payment terms are acceptable.
- Manage the purchasing process – issue purchase orders and monitor order fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Identify and evaluate material availability, cost, and delivery times.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to identify sourcing requirements.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of materials available within our supply chain.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry
