At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore, invent, and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. As a Communications Designer on the Reality Labs Research Design Team, you will work closely with our team's Creative Director, Designers, Prototypers, and Comms partners, developing storytelling artifacts that illustrate and communicate our vision for the future of emerging technologies. We are seeking a Communication Designer with experience in both digital and print in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role requires creativity, effective communication skills, and a collaborative and can-do attitude. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential. A strong understanding of best practices within digital and motion graphics is a major plus.

Communication Designer - Reality Labs Research Responsibilities:

• Create and execute a high level of digital and print design across internal and external channels.
• Maintain consistency and elevate the visual concepts of Reality Labs Research
• Manage project logistics of creative processes for internal design projects from planning (ongoing research and developing briefs) to final production
• Define project objectives, deliverables, specifications, and timelines for inter-team and cross functional collaborations
• Articulate the design process to other designers, Research partners, and stakeholders, and manage collaborative relationships
• Active engagement with and awareness of design trends, industry news, and current events

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in graphic design
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated experience in digital design, typography, system building, and strategic conceptual skills Portfolio showcasing design styles and aesthetics
• Experience presenting concepts and communicating thought process
• Track record of operating independently and without oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within an emerging technology research team
