    General Responsibilities
     
    The Marketing Communication Director is in charge of all facets of Goodwill of Southwestern Michigan’s branding and agency marketing. This person will lead the marketing team in successfully completing the strategic plans developed. Develop and strengthen partnerships within the community related to public relations as well as publicity, advertisement and social media.  The person in this role must exemplify the agency’s core values of Success, Collaboration, People and Positivity.
     
    Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Functions
     
    1. Collaborates with Goodwill’s Executive Team to develop targeted marketing strategies that assist in the achievement of agency goals.
    2. Track the performance and completion of marketing strategies.
    3. Direct social media efforts on various social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Linked In and Goodwill SWMI website.
    4. Development, optimization, and update of agency website.
    5. Plan marketing events throughout the community to assist with the growth and image development of Goodwill SWMI.
    6. Coordinate with leadership and Mission Services team to develop accurate updated information to provide through our retail operations and the public regarding our programs.
    7. Plans and organizes agency-sponsored events.
    8. Identifies community events and opportunities that maximize the Goodwill’s visibility and aligns with the agency strategic objectives.
    9. Assist with the annual budgeting process and monitoring of projects.
    10. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
    11. Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization.
    12. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
     
    Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
     
    1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
    2. 7 years of proven marketing experience and a solid understanding of traditional, digital, and emerging marketing channels and social media engagement
    3. Strong Leadership and Management Skills.
    4. Solid judgement and decision-making skills.
    5. Expertise in development, optimization and updating of institutional website.
    6. Valid driver’s license. Reliable personal transportation.
    7. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and theft-related background check and be insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy.
