Communications Director jobs in Montgomery, AL
Communications Director directs an organization's internal and external communications strategies and programs. Directs and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. Being a Communications Director may conduct market or public opinion research to assess program outcomes. Suggests promotional campaign ideas in various types of media, as well as counsels top management on effective communication strategies. Additionally, Communications Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Communications Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Communications Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Director of Communications Job Description
Overview: The Director of Communications plays a leading role in presenting St John’s to its members and the wider community.
Hours: 30, to include Mon-Thu, 9:30am-4pm. However, these hours are flexible.
Qualities: The Director of Communications will possess:
1. a living Christian faith;
2. excellent written and oral communication skills;
3. skills in graphic design;
4. proficiency in social media platforms;
5. a collaborative working style;
6. a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence;
7. a creative spirit;
8. sound organizational abilities.
Salary and Benefits: The generous compensation package includes a salary of $41,000, health insurance, retirement plan, and paid vacation.
This is a full-time position, to start as soon as is feasible.
