Suggests promotional campaign ideas in various types of media, as well as counsels top management on effective communication strategies. Additionally, Communications Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Communications Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Communications Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.       Director of Communications and Engagement
      Rochester CUSD 3A is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Communications and Engagement. This role will serve as the key liaison between the school district and stakeholders within the educational community. The Director of Communications and Engagement will oversee all aspects of communication, both internally and externally, ensuring that the District's mission, programs, and initiatives are effectively shared with various stakeholders. This is an opportunity to shape the narrative and foster meaningful connections within Rochester CUSD 3A.
      Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in public relations, mass communications, or related field.
      • Professional experience in a public relations role.
      • Strong understanding of internal and external public relations strategies.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Proven track record in planning, executing, and evaluating communication programs.
      • Ability to manage budgets and personnel effectively
      • Familiarity with two-way communication principles.
      • National School Public Relations Association or Public Relations Society of America accreditation is a plus.
      • Adherence to the ethical standards of the public relations profession.
      Salary: Commensurate with experience
