  • Overview

    Responsible for overseeing development and implementation for all communications needs for MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure Group. This includes internal and external communications strategies in partnership with leadership, stakeholders, outside agencies or vendors.  Coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with other departments. Also involved in the planning, developing and monitoring the systems and processes used in creating and executing marketing and communications content.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership to staff of communications professionals
    • Oversee the communication team’s overall content plan and editorial calendar
    • Develop and oversee strategies of all print and electronic communications, including but not limited to, internal communications, social media and website
    • Develop and execute multi-tiered internal and external communications plans that reach all stakeholder groups
    • Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities
    • Monitor systems, processes and workflows for the delivery of all marketing communications plans and campaigns; suggest updates as appropriate
    • Work closely with project teams to identify marketing and communications needs and ensure requests are addressed in a timely manner
    • Facilitate and oversee market research; working with outside vendors as needed
    • Provide expertise and advice to operational leaders regarding internal and external public relations matters
    • Develop and interpret metrics to drive decision making including communications KPI, dashboards and analytics
    • Strategize new initiatives to further the department’s reach to internal and external clients
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field required
    • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing, communications, with emphasis on marketing communication strategy
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Understanding of communication strategy and tools focused on marketing and communications
    • Experience in content planning and managing marketing and communications projects
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to present to a wide range of audiences
    • Excellent time-management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong creative, strategic, analytical and organizational skills

    • When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
    • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
