WICZ-TV – Fox 40 News is looking for a full-time Editor to join our award-winning news team in Binghamton, NY. The company is owned by Imagicomm Communications. WICZ is an equal-opportunity employer.
Position Profile
· Who does the position report to? The WICZ-TV News Director
· What are the key responsibilities of the role? Edit news stories for weekday newscasts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Edit video for daily newscasts
· Work closely with the nightside anchor/producer
· Monitor and download daily stories from various feed services, sister stations and other organizations
· Create custom opens and stings for franchise segments, sweeps stories and special newscasts
· Edit early teases and send them to the video server
· Follow station newsroom guidelines and communicate with the news director on the use of sensitive video, courtesy, file and date graphics.
Requirements:· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects required
· Knowledge of Ross Xpression and Ross Inception strongly preferred but not required
· Must be able to manage time, remain calm and work well with members of the newsroom under tight deadlines
· Adhere to terms of use/services of feed services and other video/news stories from other organizations
· Knowledge of LiveU and OBS a plus!
· Prior tv news production experience strongly preferred
