Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a staff of editors who write, prepare, and review content to be used in company publications. Helps develop, maintain, and implement editorial policies and standards and ensure conformance. Being a Communications Editor Supervisor oversees and reviews the team's work product. Monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Additionally, Communications Editor Supervisor manages project tasks and timelines. Manages the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Communications Editor Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Account Supervisor, Communications (Raleigh, hybrid)

  • Account Supervisors are responsible for the day- to-day client operations including planning/strategy for omnichannel marketing campaigns, media relations, content development, client and team management and collaboration with creative, media and digital team members.

    Duties:

    • Manage day- to- day account work and offer strategic counsel to clients, while driving consistent results
    • Develop and present strategic business communication plans that include earned, owned and paid media in an integrated approach
    • Collaborate across disciplines (Creative, Digital, Media Strategy, Project Management) to develop, execute and measure integrated communications programs
    •  Edit content - messaging and positioning/talking points, news releases, articles, social content, collateral, infographics, e-mails, presentations, etc. – to align with market, audience, channel and business goals
    • Work with the team to drive coverage in target media outlets through pitching and distribution strategies. Review, create and develop proactive pitch ideas for clients based on their industry, current trends and news.
    • Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff to foster employee development
    • Lead brainstorming sessions that help lead to strategic/creative thinking for clients
    • Travel to events and meetings with client/executives or on the behalf of the client
    • Manage campaign budgets and be accountable to delivering the plan within budget
    • Special projects as needed


     Skills/Qualifications:

    • 4-8 years B2B agency or corporate communications experience, with experience in the agriculture market preferred.
    • Strong experience ideating and executing omnichannel campaigns, which leverage digital, social, traditional media and in person events to engage B2B audiences, is imperative
    • A willingness to be proactive and work effectively in an exciting and fast-paced team environment
    • Ability to apply logical thinking to problem-solving; providing practical solutions that achieve results
    • Must have a strong eye for detail, be highly adaptable, able to perform when little client direction is given and be able to pivot to overcome hurdles
    • Must be able to manage several accounts
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to interact and collaborate with clients, third-party media personnel and co-workers, is required
    • Effective time management skills, budget management prowess and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to coach, lead and mentor junior team members
    • Must be a team player with the ability to work autonomously in a hybrid office environment and have a strong commitment and dedication to the agency’s success
    • Experience with paid media and media planning a plus.
    • Experience in agribusiness, horticulture or similar industries a plus.
