Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    The Grants & Contracts Manager will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities and lead grant proposal development, writing, and submission to federal, state, and private funding agencies.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

     

    • Research, cultivate, and secure private and corporate foundation funding through grant writing and reporting.
    • Oversee government grants for research, writing, and reporting.
    • Steward existing foundation donors in the portfolio.
    • Work with internal teams to identify funding needs and to create budgets and compelling narratives to support successful grants.
    • Ensure timely and effective grant management and compliance with requirements.
    • Track and meet all deadlines on a comprehensive reporting calendar, including all foundation grant funding opportunities.
    • Keep a record of grant submissions, manage relationships, and organize data.
    • Meet or exceed specific annual revenue goals for foundation giving.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


    • Bachelor's degree 
    • Minimum of three years of non-profit fundraising experience 
    • Experience with foundation grant programs. (references needed to support said experience in grant writing & grant management)
    • Possess advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office.
    • Experience working with a donor management CRM package.
    • Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills; experience creating budgets. 

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


    • Master's degree in business administration or non-profit management.
    • Possess a comprehensive understanding of corporations and foundations in Atlanta's philanthropic community.
