Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     DUTIES

    • Assist the Management Team in the day-to-day operations of the Children’s Services Department, including planning, organizing, budgeting, managing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive services for families and children.
    • Develop, coordinate, manage, and oversee new employee orientation practices and the professional development process.
    • Implement, facilitate, and monitor leadership development within management personnel.
    • Model sensitivity; build and foster positive relationships.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally.
    • Ensure the operation and maintenance of a safe, clean, healthy, and productive work environment.
    • Maintain professional competence through professional growth and development opportunities.
    • Oversee the implementation of state, federal, and agency regulations.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Supervisory experience and/or demonstration of team leadership
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Valid Driver's License
    • General Computer Skills
