Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. REPORTS TO Program Manager/Head Start Director
Employee must understand that he/she is an ambassador for the Agency and represents Agency values

image or impact health and safety issues.

Job Summary
Ensure compliance with State and Federal performance standards. Monitor facilities in order to
ensure environmental health and safety standards are met. Works with DHS Licensing workers
and On-site Managers to see that all licensing requirements are met at all centers. Obtain Red
Cross certification to help with agency training and observations.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Notify licensing worker immediately with any reportable changes at HS/EHS centers.
2. Keep all licensing paper work up to date and submit it to the responsible licensing worker
in a timely manner.
3. Receive all licensing visit forms and see that any noted problems are corrected.
4. Assist with centers meeting the Department of Human Services licensing requirements
concerning reports from the Health Department and County Sanitarian.
5. On center visits, check to see the licensing requirements are being met.
6. See that centers do environmental health/safety checks 4 times per year.
7. Prepare/update the Emergency Preparedness booklet annually.
8. Assist with First Aid and CPR training as needed.
9. Assist staff with Professional Development. Ensure proper tracking for center staff is up
to date and current according to state and federal requirements.
10. Assist with appropriate and required training topics are included and obtained to meet
standard qualifications and requirements including data entered on the CECPD website.
11. Keep accurate records.
12. Be able and willing to attend trainings.
13. Other duties as assigned by Head Start Director or Executive Director.
14. Assist with ensuring that the agency tracking system is current and up to date.
Qualifications
1. Must have a high school Diploma or GED.
2. Knowledge of DHS Licensing Requirements, Caring for Children Basics and Head
Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards.
3. Ability to communicate with Federal monitors, licensing workers, Head Start center staff
and administrative staff.
4. Ability to conduct training and observations as requested.
Physical Demands
1. Ability to lift, move and work in stressful atmosphere.
2. Ability to drive agency vans.
Other
Employee must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must have the
ability to negotiate contracts and maintain records to meet the USDA requirements. Travel is
required.
