    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    Springs Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. Therefore, it is essential that all employees of SRM have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and subscribe to our Statement of Faith and Core Values. The person in this role develops mutually beneficial relationships within Colorado Springs community to aid the care and transformation of individuals struggling with poverty, homelessness, and addiction. Specifically, this position is responsible for growing Springs Rescue Mission’s dynamic and popular sustainer program: Good Samaritan Sponsors. The Donor Partnership Specialist will be able to work with a high degree of independence, coordinate multiple relationships, and manage relationships effectively utilizing the Mission’s CRM platform. This full-time position reports to the Major Gift Officer. The secondary goal for the person in this role will be to oversee and grow volunteer Ambassadors to represent SRM in the community.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Develop strategic relationships and volunteer ambassadors to grow the Mission’s sustainer giving program. 
    • Execute a comprehensive plan to meet with individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations to increase awareness and promote the work of SRM and its sustainer giving program. (averaging 8-12 appointments per week)
    • Take the lead for SRM by engaging in in-person sustainer acquisition activities and experiences.
    • Invest in relationships and use the Mission’s CRM to deepen relationships like on-campus tours, on-campus lunches, and one-on-one meetings.
    • Collaborate with Event Manager to create appropriate experiences to bring value to relationships while managing expenses well. 
    • Work with the Business Intelligence and Operations Analyst to review the effectiveness of activities and measure results towards specified goals.
    • Ensure the campus is ready for anyone to become a donor by making sure collateral is placed in strategic places
    • Discover places to advertise sustainer giving throughout the community
    • Use presentations, educational lessons, and related learning materials (ex: event booth activities, educational literature, giveaways, etc.) for use in outreach activities. 
    • Manage SRM tours program to grow awareness around services provided and key needs. 
    • Grow a robust volunteer ambassador program and engage these volunteers as needed, in planning and execution of sustainer acquisition activities. 
    • Develop strategies to manage incoming calls from organizations and groups that wish to serve SRM.
    • Updates the Mission’s CRM regularly with notes, follow-ups, new contacts, and activity for goal and process effectiveness measurements.
    • Attends all required meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly
    • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at management's discretion, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

    Requirements

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in area of Communications, Marketing, Business, or related area 
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in sales, nonprofit fundraising, public speaking, and relationship management
    • Experience in a Non-Profit or Charity helping the working poor/homeless and addicted preferred

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness. Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless and faithfully upholds and exemplifies SRM’s Statement of Faith
    • Serves as an advocate for the homeless and raising awareness of the needs and concern for the addicted, and those in poverty; engaging others within one’s influence of greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of this population in Colorado Springs. 
    • Ease speaking one-on-one and in front of a crowd
    • Superb writing skills
    • Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
    • Exceptional planning and organizational skills. 
    • Highly skilled using digital software for organization, communication, and recording data in a CRM
    • Agree with and will uphold the Mission, Statement of Faith, and policies of Springs Rescue Mission
    • Demonstrates kindness and compassion to those being served at SRM
    • In this role, you may be required to drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission utilizing SRM company vehicle and/or your personal vehicle. In accordance with that, a valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance and/or clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, SRM utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring where MVR reports may be run randomly to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:

    Occasionally = 1%-33%; frequently = 34%-66%; continuously = 67%-100%.

    • Typical office working environment for meetings along with work occurring in the community and working remotely. Schedule must be flexible to include some working on Sunday mornings to speak at church services as opportunities arise.
    • Occasionally: must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend or stretch
    • Frequently: driving a car, moving items into storage spaces, talking, bending, crouching, climbing stairs, manual dexterity
    • Continuously: sitting, walking, standing for several hours, travel within the community 60% of the time, adequate vision and hearing, good mental condition to withstand consistently medium to high levels of stress

    Salary & benefits include the following: $56,000 - $60,000

    * Full benefits package to include: medical benefits with SRM paying 85% of the medical premium, voluntary Dental, Vision, Allstate Accident Plan, SRM-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and AD&D. Also offered are 8 paid holidays, 21 days of accruable PTO, paid “Soul Care Retreat” days (up to 4 depending upon availability), On Demand Pay, and a 403b retirement plan with SRM-match after one (1) year, 100% vested beginning DOH; (Benefits are subject to change based on reevaluation or benefit plan changes annually.)

    *Benefits begin at 1st of the following month after completing a full 30 days of employment (I.E. start date 4 January 2024, benefits initiate 1 March 2024)
