About Project BRaVO (Border-cities Relational Voter Operation):
Project BRaVO is a new voter registration and relational organizing program being run in the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas. The program will include relational organizing, community organizing and digital organizing components. Project BRaVO is designed to engage, register and mobilize voters in South Texas.
About this role:
The primary responsibility of a Project BRaVO Organizer is to engage, mobilize and organize their friends, families and community in the voter registration and voting process. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing a plan to organize their personal networks and community, recruiting and developing volunteers, planning and executing voter registration events, building relationships with communities and community leaders, and ensuring data integrity.
This job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs, set up canopy tents and other event equipment, and engage with and within crowds at both indoor and outdoor events for several hours at a time. Battleground Texas will make reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities.
This is a full-time, exempt position not eligible for overtime. Battleground Texas utilizes a hybrid workplace; employees perform most day-to-day work remotely, but all employees must be physically based in or within commuting distance of their assigned area. Compensation: All Regional Organizers will receive a salary of $4,250.00 per month.
Benefits: Full Time employees are eligible for generous benefits, including health care, vision, and dental insurance; sick leave, paid time off, parental leave, cell phone stipend, internet stipend, employer sponsored 403b account, and more.
Time Commitment: The Regional Organizer position is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to work evenings and weekends is required.
Travel: Regular local travel to events and county elections offices will be required in order to complete the voter registration process.
