Community Organizer develops and coordinates social service programs to communicate and raise awareness of services and resources available to the community. Networks with community leaders and officials to raise awareness of specific social or environmental issues. Being a Community Organizer plans and devises action plans to access resources. Organizes community members to work toward a common goal supported by staff and volunteer workers. Additionally, Community Organizer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Organizer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Position Summary:
Tax Outreach Community Organizers will engage with communities accessing services at nonprofit partner sites across the state with a focus in Alamosa, Boulder, Denver, and Grand Junction to provide information about tax credit and free, tax filing assistance options. Organizers will work closely with 1-2 direct service nonprofits within diverse communities to provide tax credit outreach.
This is a part-time (approximately 10-20 hours/week), temporary, non-exempt, paid position February – May, $21.50/hour. Schedule will be flexible and may include some weekend and evening work. This position reports to the Civic Engagement Program Manager.

Health Time (6.1538% of hours worked), 13 CRC Holidays (8 hours full-time, 4 hours part-time each holiday), $18.47 full-time and $9.24 part-time bi-weekly reimbursement for internet/phone.
