Compensation and Benefits Director manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Being a Compensation and Benefits Director develops and manages compensation and benefits budgets. Oversees compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Director manages benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life. May select and manage outsourced providers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Compensation and Benefits Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation and Benefits Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Summary/Objective: 

    The Compensation and Benefits Analyst I will process weekly payroll using Paylocity and Jonas Construction Software, as well as managing employee benefits. The Compensation and Benefits Analyst I is the in-house HR representative and will work alongside our outside HR consultants on all HR needs/issues.

     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     General Duties

    • Process payroll on a weekly basis in two systems, Paylocity and Jonas Construction
    • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
    • Correspond with management on daily time to ensure all unbillable time is approved
    • Calculate and process bonuses and commissions when appropriate.
    • Manage and calculate taxes and deductions.
    • Process and monitor garnishment orders.
    • Maintain and process 401k changes.
    • Enter weekly 401k contributions for two companies
    • Manage and maintain all employee benefits (i.e process new hire forms, termination forms and change in coverage)
    • Lead yearly open enrollments for all employees.
    • Create job descriptions for management review before posting.
    • Work with outside HR Consultants to process any long-term leaves
    • Process terminations and new hires.
    • Investigate any HR reports or claims from employees.
    • Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned

     REQUIRED Education and Work Experience:

    • AA BS degree preferred

     REQUIRED Skills:

    • Experience with Paylocity Payroll software highly preferred.
    • Experience with Jonas Construction software highly preferred.
    • Experience with Empower 401k highly preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication                                                              
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Excellent interpersonal skills                                                                                       
    • Excellent organizational skills and follow-through abilities                                           
    • Detail oriented                                                                                                              

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    This position requires the ability to sit and work independently while focusing on detail for extended amounts of time.

    This position is a sedentary office position requiring phone usage; typing and extensive data input at a computer keyboard while seated at a desk, ability to lift up to 15 pounds, stoop and bend.
