Compensation and Benefits Supervisor leads a team in developing, implementing, communicating, and administering compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Supervises daily compensation and benefit operations including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis, planning for health and welfare, retirement, and work life benefits. Being a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor coordinates with outsourced providers. May provide customer support to managers and staff with compensation or benefits questions. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Compensation and Benefits Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. General Description:
Provide leadership for our financial advocacy team and empathy, support, education and guidance for our most vulnerable patient population. Engage, assist, educate and counsel patients regarding their financial liability for healthcare services. Screen, refer and assist patients in applying to the appropriate agency for Medicaid and/or other state health insurance as well as GRMC’s internal Financial Assistance Program. This role will coordinate and support multiple activities across various groups in the hospital including (but not limited to) working with the GRMC administration, revenue cycle team, schedulers, registration, clinical staff and patient outreach.
