    Under general direction of the Director – Compensation & Talent Management, you will be responsible for providing expertise to the compensation function through developing analyses and recommendations in support of compensation initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops analyses and recommendations in support of matters concerning compensation planning, administration and new initiatives.
    • Conducts job analysis on new or restructured jobs, determining appropriate grade assignments to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.  Conducts periodic audits of position classifications for governmental compliance.
    • Research, collect and analyze market data to determine market relationship and geographic differentials in various markets.
    • Participates in salary surveys and analyzes results to determine organization’s market relationship.
    • Responsible for salary administration in PeopleSoft HRIS to ensure data integrity including employee records and tables updates.
    • Administers the annual merit increase process in PeopleSoft HRIS. Responsible for system set-up, testing, validation and upload.  Responsible for troubleshooting merit system issues and identifying process improvements.  Works with the Information Services group to resolve data and programming issues as well as system upgrades and enhancements.  Maintains user procedures and documentation.
    • Participates in the review and ongoing development of job descriptions. Assists managers with modifying and creating job descriptions.  Responsible for the up-keep of an organized system to maintain job descriptions, associated market pricing methodology and communication files.
    • Assists in preparing reports, analysis and documentation for Executive Compensation Committee meetings.
    • Coordinates special projects and creates ad-hoc reports and analyses upon request.

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA degree; preferably in Business, Psychology or Human Resources or equivalent experience required.
    • 2 years of varied compensation experience (analysis, job evaluation, salary administration and/or incentive administration) required.
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
    • Must possess a good foundation in Human Resources Management concepts, with a specific focus in compensation theory and practice.
    • Excellent computer skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and HR Information Systems (includes queries and report writing). Must be able to effectively manage large amounts of data and develop and provide analysis through complex spreadsheets.
