In this role, the responsibilities include but not limited to TPA oversight of complex and severe Workers’ Compensation claims across all business units with Defense Base Act, CA, USL&H, and NY experience. Responsibilities Support and oversight to the handling Claim Examiner/TPA Evaluation of counsel and retention of same Evaluation of exposures, liability and damages Evaluation of timely and appropriate reserves and settlement authority Effective communication with all levels of the organization Negotiating optimum claim outcomes Effective presentations to committee Working closely with TPA Partners, Claim Examiners, Underwriters, Actuarial, and Senior Management to communicate claim developments, research trends, develop policy wording, educate/train on legal issues Auditing of Arch’s TPA Partners for technical and handling guideline compliance Travel for training, audit, and case negotiations Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience 5-7 years of related experience with a carrier or TPA Complex/Severity Workers’ Comp/Casualty claims experience CA, DBA, USL&H or NY expertise is required. Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Exceptional communication (written and verbal), evaluating, influencing, negotiating, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively develop productive working relationships with internal/external peers and other professionals across organizational lines Individual contributor role with high degree of team collaboration and influence management required Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills Ability to analyze, organize, and present information in a clear and succinct manner Ability to take part in active strategic discussions Willing and able to travel up to 25% #LI-SW1 #LI-HYBRID For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible. $107,900 - $145,700/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
