Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. In this role, you will…
· Compiles and audits coverage transactions to ensure accurate and timely reporting to DOI fund departments.
· Coordinates with internal departments to conduct research to resolve basic fund coverage discrepancies or account premium discrepancies.
· Manages basic client inquiries from customers, distribution partners, or state DOIs to resolve any account discrepancies.
· Coordinates with state DOIs regarding any business questions not previously defined.
· Follows standard operating procedures and maintains the appropriate documentation and records for all work tasks. Perform basic account audits and analyses.
· Process cash application, disbursements and write offs.
· Assists others in the organization with requirements, procedures, and documentation related to assigned work tasks.
· Support special projects as assigned by manager.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for candidates with…
· Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
· 2 years of Insurance Industry experience.
· 2 years of Accounts Receivable Management experience.
· Customer service experience preferred.
· Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships with customers and agents.
· Motivated, adaptive and able to manage multiple priorities.
· Ability to deal effectively and collaborate with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude.
· Good communication skills (interpersonal, written and electronically).
· High attention to detail with a quality focus.
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
· Basic analytical and audit experience.
· Basic experience in Excel required.
