The ideal candidate would be someone who takes pride in being at work on time as scheduled, every day and has previous pricing expereince in a thrift store, knows the value of merchandise in order to price them competitively and is able to work efficiently and independently.

This position is a very physical job and we need "boots on the ground" capability and mentality! You’ll be on your feet.

You will be responsible for processing donations for sale by preparing, organizing, pricing, tagging, cleaning, and disposing items, as well as providing excellent customer service, and helping with the day-to-day operations, consistent with the mission and vision of Thriftmart.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensures the proper sorting, cleaning and pricing of donated, used merchandise to prepare for sale in the stores

Maintains the cleanliness and security of the pricing area

Communicate concerns and pertinent information to supervisors and managers

Organizes pricing tags, supplies and merchandise

Assists with stocking and displaying priced merchandise in store

Other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• High school education or the equivalent required
• Thrift store experience a plus

• While performing the duties of this position, you would be very active your entire shift. You will be standing and walking (90%); bending at waist to lift objects; using hands to finger, handle and grasp objects; and reaching with hands and arms above shoulders to hang merchandise (90%) . This position requires the ability to lift merchandise, up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
